(5,961 posts)I disagree, but I understand.
I flat-out don't think Sanders is electable. I think he might be nominatable, but I see Sanders vs. any Republican as being a massive red-baiting exercise in which the Democrats get slaughtered. OTOH, one can never predict what any Republican will do these days to shoot him/herself in the foot. I have trust issues with Elizabeth Warren, given her admitted Republican past, and her ducking interview requests with Indian Country Today Media Network, and she has a breathtaking lack of foreign policy experience. Again -- she might be nominatable, but don't see too much hope for her in the GE.
I self-label as a Democrat, as opposed to self-labeling as a Progressive. I saw Bill Clinton as a flawed President, but light years ahead of Bush & Reagan. Clinton and Obama both have failed to meet expectations largely because they both got saddled with hostile congresses. I see Hillary Clinton as a practical choice who can appeal to moderates, and keep the country away from the Tea Party abyss. What I don't want to see is President Walker or President Cruz naming the replacements for Scalia, Bader-Ginsburg, Breyer, and Kennedy.
