is because he was a lot more hysterical than I've ever seen him. I have seen him upset a lot on teevee but it always has this measured undertone that politicians use when really pushing a point. It's controlled hysteria.
This time he really seems unhinged. He was on the verge of literally shrieking. I don't think he was using scare tactics while knowing full well what he is saying is over the top.
I know you have probably had incidents when someone you were familiar with says something with a certain tone that really catches your attention. When I taught school, if I used a particular voice on occassion, the students shut up and listened immediately.
