The article is rewritten now, so the first paragraph saying that powerpoint slideshows were found of sexual images has been changed to the images were found in the emails and a Powerpoint slideshow was made including those images to show to the press because the press wanted copies of the actual images.

The first paragraph now reads:

"Old email accounts of top current and former Pennsylvania officials — including the state police commissioner, the top environmental regulator and Gov. Tom Corbett’s former spokesman — contained sexual images and videos, the attorney general’s office said Thursday."

The bit about what the Powerpoint was about is explained further down in the article:

"The office had received — and rejected — requests for the images from news outlets citing the state’s Right-to-Know law. But aides to Ms. Kane on Thursday invited reporters to view a sample of the videos and photographs at the agency’s Harrisburg offices.

Reporters were not shown emails. Rather, an agent displayed images that had been collected into files on a laptop computer. As he did so, he named former employees in whose old email accounts the images had allegedly been found."
