14. She's closing, but there's still a month to go

This is the sort of ratfucking dirty trick that really should be beneath a sitting Senator, and it speaks to a certain desperation on McConnell's part. But I don't think ignoring it is the way to go. The response should be two-fold: First, a counterattack defining O'Keefe and his sleazebucket ways. No sense getting into the substance of the spurious O'Keefe video, but make sure every voter in Kentucky knows the character of James O'Keefe. After about three days of that, start calling on McConnell to denounce O'Keefe's support.

If McConnell doesn't respond, start tarring him with the same brush used to make O'Keefe look like a sleaze merchant. I think ignoring it would be a mistake, and give low-information voters the excuse they need not to "risk" replacing McConnell.
