(103,059 posts)116. Watching a couple livestreams
Can't continue as they require more bandwidth than I have access to, BUT a couple things I noticed and am reflecting on...
It's been half a century since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and we still have this kind of crap going on in the mid-south.
I have seen several white-skinned folks marching on those live streams and I think that's a good thing.
Someone upthread said that this is (basically) lynching... I am sure that they are right.
And as the white lady who was in a video yesterday because her partner is black and they were pulled over for no reason said, "I'm sick of this shit."
I lived through being called the "N-word" back in the 50s and 60s and 70s (among other social slights) and I'm pretty sick of this shit too.

Interesting that the articles that I could find online only cited the cops' side of the story

Twitter has at least eleven eyewitnesses. Cops are trained to get their lies into media fast. eom

Wait a minute. The first CYA story had Meyer *jumping out of the bushes* and attacking the cop.
