...we actually saw the hand of the 1%, during the summer break when people were going healthcare town hall meetings with rifles slung over their shoulders. The 1% know they can spook some measurable percentage of people into a palpable "here come the Commies" blood fear. I don't think I'd ever seen that sort of handiwork on display so clearly in my lifetime.

The damage was long-done legislatively by that point though.
