McTurtle loses, the Dems retain control, and the Repukes spend the next two years infighting. For a consolation prize, I'd accept that McTurtle loses and the Repukes barely take control but then can't agree on a majority leader. Cruz would think he should get it, McCain would think he should, and maybe it would even escalate into physical violence. Let them take each either out, all that vitriol and hatred can't sit still for long. And even if they do take control, there will be plenty of infighting anyway.
