OS, I speak as a rather new participant here but I am sad already that you will be leaving and that we are aware of this. You share so much news with us, news that is important to everyday life for citizens who give a hoot about our social contract and what's happening to it both good and bad.

Your leaving under these conditions is only allowing the troll contingent to rob us of what we value... that would be you and what you contribute here that is something we cherish. And it will weigh on you as well in negative ways.

Please reconsider after some much needed rest. We who value and cherish you will be here to welcome you and surround you with the love we have for you.

As for the trolls, remember that what goes around comes around. The trolls will suffer for their deeds. You, on the other hand, will be here to revel in that which you have wrought, a sense of community and knowledge that can't be found elsewhere online, or anywhere that I can think of.
