3. still having trouble understanding why he ever got out of the car.

let's say it's true that brown attacked wilson while wilson was in the car.
let's say that wilson had no choice but to shoot from inside the car.

brown is still alive and up and about and has demonstrated he's willing to attack a cop, and is big and strong and violent and effective enough so that wilson feels he has no choice but to use potentially lethal force.

the cop then decides to leave the relative safety of his car, to put himself in an even more dangerous position, so he has to shoot even more, this time enough to actually kill brown?

i do not understand why he didn't call it in and wait for backup, at least at that point.
