if the argument is, cut them a break because they make a lot of quick, tough decisions, and hey, they're just gonna get some of them wrong, ...

... well, then, they need to not be carrying around guns so that those wrong decisions don't result in wrongful deaths.

if we're gonna give them guns, they need to get it right.

period.
