Justified to whom? Under what conditions? It all depends on who is doing the judging.

Whether or not the form the protests take is "justified" is pretty immaterial IMO. They are natural, spontaneous expressions of longstanding anger and frustration. They have been part of the human landscape ever since there has been power and oppression.

Talking about justification serves little purpose beyond appeasing one's conscience and boosting one's self-image. Both of which are irrelevant out there in the real world.

Social diseases like this are much like physical illnesses. One gets much further by dealing with the causes than by complaining about the effects.
