156. Blocking is traffic is self defeating pointlessness.

It does nothing to get you message across. It pisses potential allies off. It does nothing to actually draw attention to the issues in the MB case. It's just a bunch of people blocking traffic for reasons that only make sense to themselves.

If they are actually actively harming the cause, I feel comfortable throwing as many stones as I like.

Lunch counter sit ins: Brought attention to segregation and the institutional enforcement of it.

Bus boycotts: Withdrew financial support from a service that was discriminating against black people.

Free Speech Movement: Actually pushed back against campus policies that were against free speech by practicing free speech on campus as a form of civil disobedience.

Blocking traffic protest: Blocked people trying to get home or to work to protest institutional racism and police violence.

One of these things is not like the other.
