Few politicians have his keen and earnest sense of right and wrong. Few have his sincere willingness to listen and learn. He is a true progressive who emphatically does NOT dislike the police. Indeed, many police (of all colors and creeds) have been supporters over the years. But he gets what it is like to be a person of color and to have to deal with the police (both good and bad).
He's not losing this. Not happening.

Exactly. de Blasio has handled himself well with decorum and utmost respect for all sides. Some NY cops, they dishonored themselves & the city.
