The fact is that people got all over the OP because people posted some vile, nasty stuff that no Democratic, Liberal site would tolerate, and then you came and tried to shame the OP against speaking about it, as if what he did was "race baiting."

We here at DU have every right, no the duty, to look at threads that are vile and say "how did THESE get on here?" like the vile "white America" thread. That's not hurting feelings, that is seeing if this site wants to stay a liberal site. If we think we are here to champion or own side of things (be it race, unions, insert faction of Democrats here) and ignore everyone else, , then we will lose.

Then again, not like Bill Clinton made any apologies for his "we got mugged" comments either, or Hillary her "he is not a Muslim as far as I know (wink wink nudge nudge.) Priviledge means you never have to apologize.
