(1,098 posts)The way I learned about Democratic Underground was actually by monitoring RW sites. They love to cite DU and talk about what we 'libtards' are discussing. It almost seems like DU is better known among conservatives than among progressives.
Consequently, I also know it popular among conservatives on those RW sites to visit DU and try to troll. Some think it's funny how fast MIRT shuts them down. Others are a little more intelligent about it and have been posting here for years while pretending to be 'centrists.' I guess even they sometimes slip up and let their true conservatism show, and with time it becomes easy to separate the progressives from the RW trolls.
It's not surprising they'd invade the African-American and feminism groups. The RKBA group also has its shares of RW trolls who try to pose as centrist Democrats but who make their true intentions obvious.
The above examples cited in the thread starting post are clearly from such RW trolls. Opening up the site to conservative views? Getting rid of MIRT? Talking down to African Americans and women? Something smells funny, and it appears to be the stench of right wingers.
