39. The lists are not 'what each State Googled most' they are items each State Googled more than other

States. This explains why 'marijuana' is the entire Colorado list but 'marijuana' does not make the Oregon list although we legalized it on the ballot this year and clearly would have been searched more here than some of the items on the list, although Gabriel Garcia Marquez making the list is pretty spiffy, lord knows more people looked up marijuana than Marquez.
It makes sense that Oregon might have more 'Ukraine' searches than other States, we have more Russian speakers than other States but it would not make sense for that to be the number one term searched for in Oregon, just as it makes no sense that NY has nothing about the Mayor, the Police, or Eric Garner and that California's list does not have 'Sony' on it.
