Glad you're here. The most beneficial thing about this piece is how it lets you into their lives, so you get a strong sense of what it's like when a loved one is in this kind of crisis. It's an amazing story to read. More people need to share this. It's far too easy to dismiss and shrug off mental illness. And it needs to be taken so seriously and compassionately!
Always makes me think of that damn reagan who cut the funding to so many mental hospitals and institutions - and all those people got turned out onto the street. Mr. Pennywise/Pound-Obscenely-FOOLISH Asshole. They had nowhere to go.
