In reply to the discussion: Hero cat saves baby from freezing to death [View all]BrotherIvan
(9,126 posts)23. Mine were both rescues, one I saved from being eaten in the backyard from my mom's husky!
He was a kitten who was obviously on his last legs and my mother's dog loved to chase and sadly devour squirrels, which a light grey fluffy kitten definitely resemlbed. I don't know how he got lucky that day, but I was visiting and heard his crying. They are both great cats, and yes, I do think I'm not ready to outlive them because the death of my last cat nearly did me in. But since they found me, I couldn't say no. They are very sweet, not as bright as my almost-human Burmese, but fluffy and fun. Maybe some kitty might cross your path too.
