you probably have other issues in your life, like perhaps a sick family member, unstable home life, friends with their own problems etc. Not to leave out the obvious that you yourself have problems that you can't be 'disconnected'. Which really is stupid because no one really cares if you look at your stupid phone for a minute provided you aren't screaming into it like a turd or have the brightness so high it acts like a flashlight as you hold it over your head so it bugs other people.

If you show the least bit of concern and intelligence you can check your phone that needs to be on all the time because you are so important or needed no one in your life can survive without you for a few hours. You can do that and not be obnoxious to other patrons provided they aren't super sensitive to actually seeing someone hunched over their phone for a minute texting quietly.

Now constantly texting with stupid sounds for sending and receiving texts that is something that shouldn't be allowed and is rude.
