(53,661 posts)When I see threads of people that are upset about something in their life, I tend to believe them. I may not agree with their solutions. But then again, I'm not going to insult them over it.
Because it's not my life and I've found most people often don't express their personal griefs or fears very well. And when someone comes anywhere to strangers for help, they must be very trusting and should not be abused for that.
If a poster continually posts crisis after crisis and listens to no one, or is on the attack with everyone that gives advice, my empathy fades. But I say nothing. I sure don't know where the ridicule comes from.
I also don't rejoice when someone does a GBCW thread. Some good people have left here. and it reflects badly, fair or not, on Democrats. When I have left a site, it's not about me and I say nothing.
However, I was brought up to not expect sympathy. But others still seek it and I feel badly for them. There is a lot of trolling going on here, and they fit the definition of psychologists. And this isn't a tightly run ship, either.
