(51,076 posts)especially one in particular. Our neighbor had a big white bull and we used to torment him by waving something at him and making bull noises and after a while he got to where he'd chase us. We had an ace up our sleeve in that there was a clump of persimmon trees that we could run to where he'd just prance around outside of this thicket blowing snot and making noises, stomping at the ground, obviously pissed until he'd tire of it then he'd go on back to his moma cows and we'd slip on over too and up and over the fence. One day we were up to our old tricks of fucking with him and away we went to our refuge, except my younger brother, maybe 8 yo at the time tripped and fell. We all turn back in horror knowing that the big bull was going to hurt my little brother. The bull came straight at him at full speed but when he was but a few feet from Jess, my brother, he turned and went a ways and stopped and just stood there looking at us. Horrified of what just happened and thankful the big animal didn't tear my brother a new ass we carefully went back and got my brother, who was terrified as well and made our way to the fence and climbed over it. From that day on none of us would fuck with that bull. In fact it was like something came over him and us kids as within a couple weeks we were able to approach the bull and pet him and if we had a blade of grass or something in our hands he'd take it. he even got to where he'd let us climb on his back and he'd give us a ride. it was a good lesson well learned by us kids.
Afterwards when he'd see us cutting across his pasture he'd come over to us, cautious at first but after a while he acted like he was our pal and letting us know things could have been different had he not turned and stopped that day with us letting him know that we really appreciated what he done for my Brother.
