(8,554 posts)My sister down in Georgia has been out covering and wrapping up her trees and plants...it might get down to the low 30s there tonight as the storm front moves in.
Do you have a furnace in your house? My sis knows quite a few over where she lives who don't. I'm not sure, but doesn't Mississippi stay even hotter than most other states of the South in Winter?
We're all fine out here, wondering where our Winter is. It's been sunny and weirdly warm all year and I've only seen snow fall once, early last Dec. You know, during a normal winter here, I'll keep a hat on my head all the time, to keep my "heat" in so I don't use the furnace so much.
Everyone in my area was impacted by that awful Oso slide last year but we didn't personally lose anyone...the brother of a friend wasn't found til two months later, the last victim finally recovered after a four month search. Some of the families are suing the county, the state, a logging company, and the Washington Department of Natural Resources...I sure hope they win.
You take care, Aerows, stay warm, and I know you'll have fun designing that hat. Your scarf turned out pretty cool!
How's your kitty?
