to a blend like alpaca and silk. It's pure luxury to spin.
Right now, I'm plying some rainbow painted merino wool on one wheel and I started spinning some Targhee wool on the other but it's in a colorway that isn't very successful (it was a gift, I'd never have bought it) and I don't think it's even going to be attractive if I finish it in fractal spinning.
The rainbow Merino is sock yarn. I have no idea whether I'll actually knit the socks or I'll just give up and weave something with it.
ETA: spinning is something you can learn in half an hour but it takes a lot of practice to get good enough at it that you can spin what you want to spin.
