In Missouri, he would not been welcome in the MO Democratic caucus than the GOP.

The structure of the MO legislature provides an overrepresentation of the very conservative rural areas. Thus, the Democrats are similar to those rarely elected in MS or AK. They are mostly men who are anti-choice, anti- gay, PRO- gun and of course devoted Christians. They represent their districts accurately.

There have been lesbians who have been elected in two of the rare liberal districts.
For some reason, I think many men feel more threatened by gay men than women.
