In reply to the discussion: John Edwards is sick [View all]Ineeda
(3,626 posts)16. I find it ironic
that there was more outrage against Anthony Weiner, who committed no crime, than against Edwards. Yes, Edwards talked a good game but he's morally and, perhaps, legally corrupt. He faces six felony and misdemeanor charges for more or less 'stealing' a million dollars to hide his pregnant mistress.
More significant info from the article:
"The start date of the trial has already been put back once after Edwards said he needed more time to prepare his defense and attend his daughter's wedding.
Edwards appeared healthy last week at a pretrial hearing in the case."
Edwards, a Democrat, denies knowingly violating the law and has pleaded not guilty.
