10. When I managed fast food restaurants (a lifetime ago) we always had a massive stack of applications.

Fair or not, we typically hired whoever walked through the door when when we needed somebody.

Some places have slower paced hiring procedures that can take months and reapplying during the process would be counterproductive.

So, "it depends".
