11. "I will not be ignored" - Please don't do that.

Don't know if you were joking or not Cap'n, but my experience with hiring is that a confrontational statement like that is about the same as writing "please throw this resume straight in the trash". There are many reasons why you may not have been contacted after submitting your resume for a position but being ignored is probably not one. Unless you tell me that you won't be ignored, at which point my natural contrariness kicks in and yes, I WILL ignore you. Remember, odds are there are many applicants for the position and employers are looking for any reason to eliminate a candidate. Having said that though, a second application never hurts.
