I remember thinking that there was no way -- just absolutely no way -- that conscious, thinking people would vote for Ronald Reagan.

I learned from that. While I was correct in that no conscious, thinking person would vote for Reagan, millions of unconscious people did. I say that in all seriousness, and not as a joke about, or insult of those people. Relatively few people are truly "awake."

Those who are must be fully aware of the dangers that the opposition poses. And fully prepared to combat it, in election contests.
