But what a pleasant surprise to read the words of someone who pulled no punches and said truths that may not be obvious to some.
In the seventies we could see this happening. I attibuted some of it to the debt for the Vietnam War. I've never believed that the leaders of nations make loans out of the goodness of their hearts when American jumps up and goes to war.
I think the breaking of the Ameircan worker is due to that, and it's not stopped. It wasn't altruism that caused China to hand over their money to the USA to play cowboys and indians in the Middle Eastern desert. Nope
They expected something for it. Previous adventures abroad have also had big contracts to pay back money for wars. I think there is more than one way to do this and it's not a simple thing.
