(5,400 posts)I consider myself a moderate in that I see the value of many of the arguments that come from different points of the political spectrum, and going with that, I think it often possible to strike bargains that do a lot of good, and little harm.
I see Sanders as a moderate, and I think his appeal is that he is a moderate's moderate. He's a politician, and as such he has to satisfy the electorate. I can't really expect anyone better and I'm very pleased to see him in the running.
P.S. Lol, Sanders might be a smidge to the right of Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt* in some important ways. I'd prefer their fire breathing in the White House but I find a moderate like Sanders a perfectly acceptable, reasonable, alternative.
*Yes, they were both products of their era. I score them by their successes at transcending that.
