one of the Official Establishment popular historians. I am currently reading the book he wrote with Walter Isaacson, The Wise Men, and Thomas sees some of the same parallels I have been thinking about the last few days.

Yes, we live in a post-Citizens United world, the Money has an immense vested interest in making sure HRC is the nomnee, and any analogy will necessarily imperfect, but there is certainly food for thought here.
