In reply to the discussion: Unarmed Teen Shot By Police, Cried For His Mother As He Died: ‘Mommy, Mommy, Please Come’ [View all]It seems like there is an epidemic of this nonsense going on. Everyday you hear or read about some unarmed teenager or young person being gunned down by police or police wannabes (like George Zimmerman.) Could this REALLY have been happening all along with this intensity or is this something very new? It seems like, from the stories you hear, that even freezing and not moving still results in being shot. Because of the deaths, it tells the story of multiple shots, not just one that hit these victims. By the looks of things, if I were a person of color or some other minority, I would be afraid to even venture outside. That mother in Baltimore who pulled her teenage son out of the protesting crowd (and touted as "the mother of the year"
later told reporters that she did NOT do this out of civic responsibility as people originally thought. She did it out of FEAR that her son would get shot and killed even if he was doing nothing. God bless her!
