I need to savor this part of it (from May 12, 2012):

"In what is the first ever conviction of its kind anywhere in the world, the former US President and seven key members of his administration were yesterday (Fri) found guilty of war crimes.

Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and their legal advisers Alberto Gonzales, David Addington, William Haynes, Jay Bybee and John Yoo were tried in absentia in Malaysia."

Btw - david addington was the source that our great good journalist friend judith miller (who helped the stove-piping from cheney's office to the front page above the fold of the NYTimes) cited as one of her sources - "experts" is the word she used. Anybody notice, at least in the clips that were available, that she never volunteered that connection, herself? THAT was the job of the interviewer. Who maybe was just pulled in off the makeup trailer and given the pre-written questions and brought nothing to the table as far as experience or research into the background of the interview subject.

And NOBODY called her on it during that interview. FUCK! NOBODY seems either willing OR able to connect the damn dots! The minute she mentioned david addington's name, I would have checked her by saying "you just mentioned david addington - that's the same david addington who was cheney's chief of staff, correct?" But the dumbfuck interviewer just did a chuck todd and nodded and let her talk... "Hey, it's not MY job to probe or dig or fact-check or anything like that. MY job is strictly to sit there and hold the mic for them and let them say their piece and that's that. And the only follow-up comment I need to bother with is the one that goes 'Well, we'll have to leave it there. Thanks so much for coming.'"
