4. I have a question about genetic transference.

"...the genetic modifications of the food can be transferred into our human genes and alter our DNA."


If the above statement is true than it is true for non-GMO foods that we have consumed for millions of years. Is there a danger to humans and animals from eating foods that contain genetic material?
