3. No one thinks Wilders or Geller is a champion of free speech

The 1st Amendment (free speech) PROTECTS their right to say the ridiculous things they do. They are not "champions" of the Amendment, they merely benefit from the protections it provides.

I would have thought the difference was obvious. Is it not?
