A Houston-area psychologist is under investigation after accusations surfaced that she was not giving proper psychological evaluations to law enforcement applicants as mandated by state law.

State Law requires all law enforcement officers to undergo a personality test, psychotherapy test and a face to face evaluation by a certified psychologist.

According to TCOLE, "After weeks of investigation... exams were certified to have been conducted, when in fact they had not been completed or failed to meet professionally recognized standards and law."

"The public puts their trust in law enforcement and we have to be of sound mind and body," said Sgt. Paul Bruce with the Harris County Deputies Organization. "It's disturbing, very disturbing."
