think that GOTV means sending buses to condos full of retired New Yorkers and schlepping them to the polls.
During the 2004 election, the Broward County Democratic Party HQ and the Kerry campaign HQ were miles apart and never talked.
When I went to vote in 2004, the Republican candidates and their party hierarchy were there at the polls pressing flesh and saying "thank you for coming out to vote". An hour after the polls opened, Michael Moore's twin sister showed up with a 1' x 1" x 48" stick with bumper stickers for the various Democratic candidates stapled to it and sat off to the side waving it.
Gotta get organized!
