(114,904 posts)been saying for over 20 years. It's a patently ridiculous charge. Again, let me refute your absurd claims:
Here's why: Sanders and Warren have claimed for months that TPP (the trade bill) is being negotiated in secret and is a scary bad thing, and that TPA (fast track authority) should be defeated. Warren for example writes in her latest e-mail appeal:
Senator Sanders' main and most frequent objections about the TPP have NOT been about secrecy.
Let's send a loud message to our trade officials: No vote on a fast-track for trade agreements until the American people can see whats in this TPP deal ISDS and everything else. http://elizabethwarren.com/blog
Yes, that's a political tactic on Warren's part, but it's true: I've posted evidence that the secrecy around the tpp is unprecedented. I'm not posting it again. Find it yourself. It's in an op.
But they both know that without TPA, there won't be any trade bill, because the parties won't sign off without it. But if TPA does pass, Warren and Sanders get exactly what they claim to want -- public access to the complete, final TPP. From the Wyden TPA bill summary:
Yes they know that not passing the TPA will kill the TPP and conversely they know that passage of the TPA assures passage of the TPP. Get enough votes for the TPA and you've got the votes to pass the TPP. Period. This is as well known in D.C. as anything I can think of. More importantly, the President could release the TPP text now. That doesn't mean giving up the TPA and ergo doesn't mean that other parties would walk. You do know that other trade agreements have passed without the TPA, right?
New and expanded provisions . . . Require USTR to publish trade agreements 60 days before signing them, and to publish detailed summaries of U.S. proposals throughout.

So if they were honest, Warren and Sanders would join President Obama in calling for swift passage of the TPA in order to complete the negotiating process and get the bill before the public as soon as possible. But they aren't. I wonder why?
They aren't calling for it for to be passed because they want to defeat the TPP- something that Sanders in particular has been open about: He wants to kill it. Period.
and we are done, because you keep repeating the same false stuff trying to bludgeon people with it.
