My therapist treats sexual offenders and he has given me incredible insight into the mind of pedophiles. It's often upsetting. Pedophiles always blame the child. The child was too sexy. The child came onto the adult. They'll sexualize normal childhood behavior, in an attempt to suggest that the child came onto the adult.

What we're seeing here is pedophile thinking. It reinforces the very complex and pathological thought processes that serial pedophiles build up through the years--that keeps them offending and from having a psychotic break. If they faced what they did, they would mentally implode. These rationalizations and denial systems keep them functioning and appearing normal.

They are anything but.

I think we're getting a glimpse into the life and times of a highly religious and mentally ill family where sexual abuse is rampant. It is not coincidence that these "teachings" are pedophile-enabling dogma. It's also probably not coincidence that the cop-family-friend that Jim Bob sent Josh to--never pressed charges and was later arrested and convicted of molesting children and creating child pornography. Seriously. This family is surrounded by pedophile friends and colleagues who engage in pedophile thinking. And Jim Bob has a son who acted out sexually and committed incest with four of Jim Bob's daughters.

This is so…egregious and sick. I hope people start questioning Jim Bob, because Josh's teenage behavior is a sign that someone in that family sexually abused Josh!
