Putting these girls in wedding dresses, taking wedding photos, and pledging the father sole access to her reproductive parts is downright creepy. I gotta say, the father daughter ball is a throwback to male paternalism too. And it does a great job of excluding those girls being raised by single mothers. All that stuff is on purpose.
