71. 85% of the people who vote for Democrats are Christians

To put this in terms that might be important to you, without the support of liberal Christians and institutional support of liberal Christian churches there would be no same sex marriage today. In fact, it is not going to far to state that without the staunch support of the liberal Christians the gays and lesbians would still be - for the most part - hiding in their closets.

Personally, I find it puzzling that some of us are so positively gleeful in their efforts to alienate this proven ally.
