74. I remember seeing one of the big three American horse races maybe a decade ago

and one of the horses broke its leg during the race and collapsed. So someone came out, with a shotgun, and shot it right in the head. On the track. And the announcers talked about it being a humane solution, and I guess maybe it is, but not as humane as not breeding horses like they do and then pushing them to the point of breaking bones.
