I remember in junior high being bullied in a class. The teacher told me to talk to the counselor and would not do anything about it (spit wads in my face, being punched and shoved every day). I made multiple attempts to talk to the counselor only to be told that I could not talk to her when I explained why. I told my mom who showed up at school and screamed at the counselor to do something about it. I was put in another class but the one who was tormenting me wasn't even talked to. P.S. I wanted to take a cooking class but that was only for girls and the Principal insisted that I take a wood or metalworking class instead. I do remember in general that children were not very nice to each other in k to 12th grade.
