I don't understand why you seem to continue to suggest I am defending him... I am NOT. I said I was withholding judgement in terms of his "illness" and in terms of his trial and appropriate outcome--as well as his last days with Elisabeth and their private interactions.

That is it... That is all. That does not mean I take no offense at his actions nor his actions vis-a-vis his candidacy. I certainly do... I supported him as Kerry's VP and it is painful to see him self-destruct and the potential wide ramification he could have unleashed.

That was NOT the issue I was addressing. That is not the subject of the original post which is about his illness and requested delay of trial. I am merely stating that I'm not prepared to allow my own biases to drive any assumptions regarding his illness and his credibility on that score.
