this from the last presidential race & it has never gone away. Obama is a Muslim, Obama is not one of us, Obama is not a christian, etc., he is everything but not one of us. The racist wing nuts have come out of the woodwork since President Obama has been in office because the extremist racists cannot stand the fact that a black man is in office. Now, you are also correct that the leaders of the republican party may not themselves be racist but do you ever see them stopping the hate rhetoric coming out of the radio airwaves or on the tv or at the rallies? No, because as you say they want it and are using "race" for their own purpose.
