3. I could tell the kid was in trouble...

I looked hard for someone who seemed to be in trouble, and did find them! Once when I was young, I was at a YWCA swimming pool and accidentally jumped into the deep end of the pool. I was panicked but was fortunate enough to be close to the sides and pulled myself out. You can bet that next Summer I took swimming lessons!
