15. Unfortunately, he's pretty much doing what I expected

Before people jump on me, I voted for Obama (both times)...I voted for Gore (and was among the thousands protesting Bush's election theft at the inauguration). I voted for Clinton (both times...Harkin was my original choice in '92; in '94 I held my nose very tightly). I voted for Mondale (I skipped '88).

But really, as a Democrat, I'm always voting "against" more than I'm voting "for." My first vote in '84 was against Reagan more than it was for Mondale (we all knew he didn't have chance in hell). Even when the Dem wins I know he (and it's been a he so far) will be serving other, more well-heeled interests before mine.

So I'm not surprised by how things have gone and are going.

I'm voting for Bernie, too. I don't know what chance he has in this corrupt, bought-and-paid-for political system that we have, but at least he's sincerely articulating issues that are really relevant to me for a change.
