(62,325 posts)candidates, they did come out for Progressives who remained in Congress. The process of eliminating these Corporate Dems has already begun, AND the same voters who handed Dems everything in 2008 have now turned their skills to local and state elections, scoring many victories in the last mid term, finding and supporting actual Dems and winning a majority of those elections.
They also got Progressive Issues on their local ballots, having given up on DC and succeeded almost 100%. They will be building on those successes in every election from now on.
What was interesting was how the Party Leadership ignored all these successes and whined about the losses THEY were responsible for, instead of taking the message the voters sent them, they instead BLAMED THE VOTERS.
They just didn't get that voters will no longer hold their noses to vote for THEIR corporate candidates, we've seen how that worked out and as Bernie says so correctly, 'enough is enough'.
This betrayal will only energize activists, they very heart of the party though never acknowledged by the current leadership, to oust and replace those who betrayed them.
