(5,178 posts)The more one works and invests in one, the less care the other receives. For every action, there is a reaction.
Thanks to science, we know that increased action today means immeasurable amounts of suffering being heaped on the next generations. For as long as they can hold out, and as long as they want to, in a world devoid of so many things "corporate liberals" pay lip service too today, like caring about the hungry or the natural world. They will claim to really love and care for animals, but just like Republicans and our own children, only when they are babies and only in cutest of staged photos.
All that corporate money flowing so freely through the hands of our elected officials. It is how they are able to build coalitions against change, against progress, all that sweet Wall St money. It is how they so generously fund think tanks, it is how they fund racists, it is how they start wars for cash against the worlds poorest in all our names.
This is just another evolutionary step in our ever rightward shift. It is why today, Ronald Reagan and his backers would be so overjoyed to see the culmination of all their dreams in the hands of our "corporate liberal" President.
Today is a beautiful day in the memory and honor of Milton Friedman, Alan Greenspan and those who hold so much more in common with them, than they do with the commons.
