For 6 years after 9-11, when the country's economy with the help or corporatist run admin and congress were laying the ground work and creating the massive debt we now see, EVERY ELECTION was about SECURITY.

That all came to an abrubt and total end in January of 2009.

Now, the president who actually HAS kept us "safe" and is doing a MUCH better job on them there terrorists, they NOW want to scream about the debt THEY created.

And, the hue and cry of how HORRIBLE the economy is compares very much to the fear the generated over 9-11. We had to deal with radical terrorists, but it was always way over stated for political reasons. Same now with the economy. Times are tough, a lot of people are struggling, but they and the 'liberal media" continue to portray things like it's the great depression.
